ACP Corporate

Australia's leading magazine publisher uses edDesk to free staff time and increase sales.

ACP Magazines leads the industry in knowing and understanding what matters the most to magazine buyers and invests heavily in market and consumer information, as well as audience research, boasting the largest media research function in Australia.

As Australia's largest magazine publisher, it is essential that it provides its readers with up-to-date information on advertising and research for all its titles. To do this ACP Magazines uses edDesk.

The ACP Magazines Research team uses edDesk to write, edit and produce the Research Section of the www.acpmagazines.com.au website involving both an in-office Research Staff and information gathered from external contributors.

The www.acpmagazines.com.au website also has information on advertising rates for each magazine that needs to be kept current. They do this by using a combination of edDesk for unstructured content and a companion database built by itechne to manage all the rates and deadline information.

Challenge

ACP, like all publishers, has tight budgetary constraints. There was a need to hand back control of its website content to the people in charge of the information itself, namely the research and advertising staff members.

Solution

edDesk revolutionised the web content management process. First, it gave control to the Research Department so they could post all information in a timely fashion. Second, it gave control of magazine advertising information to the advertising managers.

The Results

By referring customers to the website ACP Magazines has reduced the pressure on the advertising department which previously had to provide this information to its customers by other means. This has freed up the advertising managers to do more of what they wanted to do... chase advertising revenue.

The research department now has a web presence and a more expansive way of communicating the extensive informatiuon it gathers. It also has a more efficient way of getting any up to the minute research to ACP Magazines's customers.
