Early test users report on nextgen edDesk

Early users find that edDesk 3 offers easier interface and better publishing management tools.

edDesk has been driven by user feedback and close involvement from our customers in its development right from our earliest versions.

Just how closely aligned its development has been with the needs of our customers is one of the things that team itechne is most proud.

As part of this cycle of close customer involvement, itechne currently has a number of users working with early test versions of the next generation of edDesk, which has he working name edDesk 3. In industry-speak, this is known as product alpha testing.

Early feedback from the edDesk user community on the early alpha versions of edDesk 3, currently in development, shows that some of the changes that have already made it into the new version are already having a significant impact on users.

In particular, some of the new interface features have caused excitement, including the new simplified navigation menus, our new "insite editing" feature for websites that lets users edit content on websites under development with a single-click from the website itself.

The new batch publishing management interface has also been received positively. The new tool provides adminsitrators with much greater control over larger and longer batch publishing jobs - with extensive queue management tools.
